Description

A revival of director Franco Zeffirelli's iconic production of Carmen, first performed in 1995 at the Verona Arena Festival and revived several times since.

This Carmen is intended to be the "definitive synthesis" of Zeffirelli's vision, as it has developed over the years through various technical adjustments, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the first production - thanks in particular to the support and involvement of the Fondazione Franco Zeffirelli and the director's historic collaborators. The production includes the original choreography. The costumes are based on Anna Anni's original designs and the lighting has been redesigned by Paolo Mazzon.
