Davide Livermore's production sets Donizetti's bitter comedy in the melancholy atmospheres of Cinecittà's black and white films. The numerous references to the history of Italian cinema take nothing away from the immediacy and liveliness of the story, which unfolds amid grayscale settings - sometimes dark, sometimes pearly - designed by Livermore himself with Giò Forma, and enlivened by the contrast with the colorful costumes. by Gianluca Falaschi. Memorable is Norina's fantastic flight over the Roman landscape in an Alfa Giulietta. The revival is directed by Evelino Pidò and the main roles are played by Ambrogio Maestri, Andrea Carroll, Lawrence Brownlee and Mattia Olivieri.
