A story about passions, hatred, jealousy and obsessions that portrays the Spanish society of the time.
Manchado's third opera is the culmination of a long gestation process that began in 2002 during the UIMP summer courses, at the proposal of professor Amelia Valcárcel. The libretto - designed in close collaboration between the two in the manner of a Da Ponte/Mozart or a Boito/Verdi - serves as the basis for a score that its author inscribes in the operatic tradition - in a ritual-operatic sense, if you prefer - to through a varied range of leitmotifs, in what could be considered a voluntary exercise of depersonalization in the service of drama.
