The young German singer Torsten Kerl is one of the most sought-after Helden-tenor in the world. Torsten Kerl has won numerous awards and scholarships as a solo oboist – having begun his career as an orchestra musician and instrumental soloist – and as a singer. In 2000 he won a Grammy Award in the category “Best International Opera Recording of the Year”.
