Description

Revival of the production of David McVicar, already offered in Paris in 2015 (we reported on it in French), in 2020 or even more recently in January and February 2024. We also reported on it in our French columns.
We were also able to see this production in London in 2017 and report on it in our columns.

The production was supposed to be Sonya Yoncheva's first performance of the title role. Unfortunately, the Bulgarian soprano had to give it up, as her busy schedule prevented her from preparing for the role as she would have liked. She was replaced by Aleksandra Kurzak, for whom this was also her first role.
