Revival of the production that premiered in 2018, which we reported on in our English columns then and in 2023 when it is revived.
Kate Lindsey and Heidi Stober (making her Royal Opera debut) star as Hansel and Gretel in Engelbert Humperdinck’s enchanting opera. Conductor Giedrė Šlekytė, also making her debut, brings out the magic of the score. Antony McDonald’s witty and imaginative production is the perfect treat for families and opera newcomers alike.
