Corinne Winters (Jenůfa) and Karita Mattila (Kostelnička) headline Janáček’s evocative opera, whose music is infused with traditional folk melodies from the composer’s native Moravia. Designated music director Jakub Hruša directs Claus Guth’s staging, an “evocative and audacious” (Telegraph) version of this poignant domestic drama.
