Revival of the production created on March 19, 2025 at the Lyon Opera.

"Diana Soh belongs to a new generation of composers for whom opera must tackle social issues head on. Director Alice Laloy is known for her impressive installations that borrow from puppet theater. She collaborates with playwright and pop musician Emmanuelle Destremau. These creators join forces for a unique show, which questions the future through the eyes of children and adolescents.

"The future will tell us" is one of those expressions that seem to have been uttered for all eternity and that we use to conclude a conversation that is a little too long. This formula takes on a more serious and profound meaning in our time, when our planet's resources are running out and the future of future generations seems increasingly precarious.

On stage, thirty-five young performers from the Maîtrise de l'Opéra de Lyon form a beating heart put to the test: in the cage On stage, an orchestra of machines produces the wind, the rain and the storm... This small autonomous community will have to face its fears and organize itself to survive in the midst of the raging elements."
