"This Baroque Carnival displays all its splendor in the world of splendor and grotesquerie of an Italian carnival in the middle of the 17th century. The poetic encounter between acrobats, jugglers, mimes, singers and musicians offers an unclassifiable spectacle at the crossroads of several artistic disciplines, nourished as much by popular music, baroque singing as by commedia dell'arte.
