The director Daniele Menghini chose to set the story of Don Magnifico and his three daughters in a hotel of dreams where, after having been mistreated by her stepsisters, Angelica will experience a princely destiny. From the tale of the Brothers Grimm and the opera that Rossini will draw from it, it is also a question here of social differences and benevolence.
