Work description
Doctor Atomic is an opera by John Adams, with a libretto by Peter Sellars (who also directed the premiere on 1 October 2005 at the San Francisco Opera). The work was inspired by the Manhattan Project, when Robert Oppenheimer was conducting the Trinity test.
